19 – God’s Word and Prayer

Who has heard our cry?

I am yet to meet the person who describes himself as a champion at prayer. Most of us will admit we do not pray as we would like. Aside from not knowing what to say, or how to say it, we often wonder if we will be heard. The writer of Psalm 119 takes comfort in this nineteenth stanza in the nearness of God and the access he has to cry to him. He draws assurance from God’s word that he will be heard and God is near to his children.
